Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

Testing Predictions is operated for Testing by Prediction.Media. This notice explains what we collect when you play, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Testing's own privacy policy applies to the rest of its website.

2. What we collect

Guest play: a random device identifier stored in a cookie on your browser, your predictions, and your points. No name, email, or phone is required to play.

If you create an account: the display name you choose (public), and - only if you provide them - your email address and/or phone number, with your notification choices.

Gameplay and engagement events: which questions you answered, when you played, whether you arrived from an embed or an ad, and clicks on sponsor links. These are recorded in our own database.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. This applies to every player, in every state, whether or not a law requires it.

4. No third-party analytics

The Game does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs. Engagement measurement is first-party: it runs in our own systems, under this notice.

5. How we use information

To run the Game: scoring, streaks, leaderboards, and resolving questions.

To send you Game notifications (daily set, streaks, results) - only on channels you opted into, and you can opt out at any time.

To report to the publisher and sponsors in aggregate: totals and percentages, never your individual identity. Sponsor reporting is aggregate-only by design.

To keep the Game fair and secure: moderating display names and detecting abuse.

6. Sharing with the publisher

Testing is the publisher of this Game. If you create an account and opt in, your profile (display name, contact details, and engagement summary) is shared with Testing as a member of their audience, under their privacy policy. Guests are never included in these exports.

7. Service providers

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) that process data on our instructions to run the Game. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

8. Cookies

The Game uses a single first-party cookie: the device identifier that keeps your guest progress. Ops staff have a separate sign-in cookie. There are no advertising cookies.

9. Retention and deletion

Gameplay records are kept while the Game operates so scores and leaderboards stay accurate. You can ask us to delete your account and personal details at any time; aggregate statistics that no longer identify you may be retained.

10. Your choices and rights

Play as a guest with no contact details at all. Opt out of any notification channel at any time. Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@prediction.media. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

11. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Accounts with contact details require you to be 18 or older.

12. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted to authorized operators, and ops actions are audit-logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

13. Changes

If we change this notice in a material way, we will post the update here with a new effective date before it takes effect.
